My blog is less than a year old but is now a pagerank 3 . It takes a bit of work to build links and I have heard stories of blogs not doing anything and still getting a good pagerank.

hi , my blog www.platinumpicks.blogspot is 4 months old pr4 ; alexa takes past 3 month ave; now my new site www.dailydaytrades.com is 2 months old and have a pr3 but i am also getting 2500 uniques/day and ave pageviews of 33/visitor

Google update their PR every 3 months or so.
If your blog have good content, you would get good PR in no time.

Google updates PR every month. That period of the month is called “Google Dance”. Google for “google dance tool”, and i belive that 1st result would be page for checking if google dance is in progress on your site. I got PR3 on my first blog in less than 4 months.I am even expecting PR4 after next dance :D
